Available with no cost to residents of the City of Wakefield and Wakefield Township.

Non-residents cards:
Yearly Non-residents $30 per year
6 Months Non-residents $20 per year

NOTICE OF BUDGET HEARING 

WAKEFIELD PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD

The Wakefield Public Library Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed library budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 at the Wakefield Public Library located at 401 Hancock St., Wakefield, Michigan 49968 on June 262026 at 4:00 p.m.  The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing. A copy of the budget, including the proposed property tax millage rates, is available for public inspection on the library’s website, www.wakefieldpubliclibrary.org, and also at the Wakefield Public Library, located at 401 Hancock St., Wakefield, Michigan 49968, during business hours. 

 

The Wakefield Public Library must hold a public hearing before the final adoption of the budget.  Any interested person will be given the opportunity to be heard at the public hearing regarding the proposed budget. 

 

The Wakefield Public Library Board will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting upon 3 days’ notice to the Library Board.  Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the Library by writing or calling the following:  Lakin Ozzello, Library Director, Wakefield Public Library located at 401 Hancock St., Wakefield, Michigan 49968; (906) 229-5236; lozzello@wakefieldpubliclibrary.org.
